# SEOReport

> SEOReport is an SEO report and website optimization tool for AI agents. One report reads many pages of a public website in seconds, with their status codes, headers, robots.txt and sitemap, compares the pages with each other, and returns the fixes in order across SEO, AI search, speed and security, each with its evidence and the pages it affects. SEOReport is paid-only: every plan includes the remote MCP server at https://seoreport.dev/mcp, the REST API and weekly monitoring. Rerunning a site the account already has a completed report for uses no credit.

## When an agent should use SEOReport

- The user asks to audit or improve a live public website for search, AI search, speed or security, or asks what to fix first on it. Not for source code, build output or localhost URLs.
- Call seoreport_create_report with wait=true; if the report is not ready within about 30 seconds, poll seoreport_get_report_status with the job ID.
- Read the issues with seoreport_get_report: fix order, 25 per call by default, up to 200.
- Work through them in order, then call seoreport_create_report on the same host to see which issues cleared.

## What This Service Does

SEOReport audits multiple pages of a public website and produces a structured diagnostic report covering:

- Technical health (crawl access, indexability, sitemaps, canonicalization, redirects)
- On-page and content (titles, headings, content quality across the site)
- Structured data and social metadata
- Links and languages (internal links, hreflang)
- Performance and security
- AI search readiness (AI crawler access, llms.txt)

Every finding comes with the evidence behind it and is ranked into a prioritized fix plan, with an AI executive summary.

## How to Use

1. Choose a plan at https://seoreport.dev/pricing and complete checkout
2. Run a report for a site from your workspace, or through the API or MCP endpoint
3. Read the full diagnosis on the web, or download it as PDF, Markdown, text or JSON

Every report is run by a signed-in account on a paid plan; there are no anonymous reports.

## Credits

- One credit covers one new site for one calendar month (UTC).
- Running a site again that the account has already received a completed report for does not use a credit.
- A second run of the same site in the same month reuses that month's credit, so a failed delivery can be retried at no extra cost.
- Credits reset on the first day of each month (UTC). Unused credits end with their month and never roll over; no leftover or evaluation credits join a later month.
- When credits run out, existing reports and downloads stay available; new sites wait for the monthly refresh or a larger plan.

## API and Agent Integration

SEOReport provides a REST API and an MCP endpoint. Both require an API key from a paid plan, and both use the same credits as the website.

### REST API

- `POST /api/v1/reports` - start a report for a URL
- `GET /api/v1/reports/:id` - get report status
- `GET /api/v1/reports/:id/result` - get the full report results
- `GET /api/v1/reports/:id/download?format=pdf|md|txt|json` - download an export
- `GET /api/v1/reports/config` - current plans and prices from the live billing catalog

Authenticate with `Authorization: Bearer <api key>`. Create a key in account settings after choosing a plan. Requests without a paid plan receive a payment-required error.

### MCP Endpoint

- URL: https://seoreport.dev/mcp
- Protocol: Streamable HTTP (MCP spec)
- Auth: Bearer token (your API key)

Tools exposed via MCP (names are prefixed `seoreport_`):

**Reports:**
- `seoreport_create_report` - start a report for a URL; with `wait: true`, returns the score and top findings in the same call if the report finishes within about 30 seconds, otherwise a job ID to poll
- `seoreport_get_report_status` - check job status
- `seoreport_get_report` - read the score, area scores and the issues in fix order (filter by severity or area)
- `seoreport_list_reports` - list recent reports
- `seoreport_get_report_download` - get a PDF, Markdown, text or JSON download URL

**Account:**
- `seoreport_get_account` - account name and email, plan, remaining credits and renewal date
- `seoreport_list_plans` - view available plans
- `seoreport_start_checkout` - start checkout (returns a browser URL; only a person can pay)
- `seoreport_submit_feedback` - send feedback to the SEOReport team

Profile changes, API keys, cancellation and account deletion are handled in the dashboard, not over MCP.

## Pricing

Plans are Essential, Pro and Agency, billed monthly or annually. Current prices, monthly credits and features are published on https://seoreport.dev/pricing and returned by `GET /api/v1/reports/config`. Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record.
